When opportunity knocks, is your company ready to answer?
Whether you’re selling SaaS, sneakers, or snow globes, accepting payment is an essential part of growing your business. And how you do it matters. Your payment processes need to be secure, adaptable, and capable of scaling with your business.
But don’t take it from us. We wanted to hear from the small business owners who tackled these fundamentals early on—and are very glad they did.
We spoke to three small business owners about their experiences working to simplify and secure their payment processes by partnering with Paysafe. Here’s what they had to say:
Mohamed Basyoni
Owner of Perfection Motors Inc.
Basyoni’s business is built on customer trust, and he uses Paysafe to help earn it—and keep it.
"I worked in corporate America for a computer company early in my career. During that time, I would buy and sell cars on my own in small quantities. Then my division of the company was sold, and I ended up getting laid off. To be honest, after that happened I didn’t want to work for anyone else. So I started a small car dealership in Durham, North Carolina.
After launching my business, I quickly discovered that car repair costs were very high. I added a service division to one of my locations to avoid those costs and increase revenue. That’s when I started working with Paysafe. Prior to our partnership, all our sales revenue was received in cash. Customers had already shown a lot of interest in credit card payment options. So I looked for a partner who could support me with these offerings, and that partner was Paysafe.
Paysafe makes my process so easy, and it really helps build trust. Customers can trust the payment options I offer, and I can trust that every transaction will be processed in a secure way. My business in particular relies heavily on credibility and trustworthiness. Paysafe helps me maintain that trust and keep customer information safe."

Owner of The Style Studio by KB
Blair’s business growth relies on the robust security and systems she established with Paysafe.
"I decided to become an entrepreneur because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. I realized that if I could create a way to have them look and feel amazing, it would increase their confidence, help them make more money, and produce amazing results in life. So I created The Style Studio by Keri Blair.
We rely on accepting credit cards as a courtesy to our clients, and we need the best systems and security. Paysafe has always been that partner for us. Ten years ago, we expanded our business to Cherry Creek North (in Denver) and changed our model to be more of a boutique experience for our elite clientele. Our business needs changed, and Paysafe was there to help us accommodate our clients.
Systems and structures are everything to your success. Paysafe has always been available to look at our growth needs and offer new solutions that we wouldn’t have known about. My advice to entrepreneurs is to have a great mindset, stay positive for the long haul, and find partners like Paysafe that enable your business to grow with ease."

"After being in the corporate world for 30 years, it began to wear very thin for me. Although I was at a senior management level, I knew it was time to leave. I was introduced to the world of essential oils and aromatherapy via a massage therapist. The healing effect of the essential oils he used in my treatments was literally life-changing for me. As we became friends, we realized we both sought to change our occupations. We decided to go into business together and create an essential oils company.
Essential oils sales can vary in amount—one bottle of Peppermint may cost $26, while a comparably sized bottle of Bulgarian Rose would cost $1,100. We needed a partner with internal controls to detect fraud and the flexibility to work with extreme variations in our average sales amount. Paysafe has been enormously helpful and willing to work with us on processing such transactions smoothly.
We have adapted and grown our business in ways we would not have anticipated five years ago. Paysafe allows us to be confident in our ability to smoothly service our customers, regardless of the dollar amount of their transaction."

On the surface, car dealerships, essential oil merchants, and boutique hair salons don’t seem like they have much in common, right? And the entrepreneurs we spoke to started their businesses for very different reasons. But these three owners were dedicated to providing their customers with the best experience possible. Turns out, that’s a pretty good recipe for success.
Are you ready to take your business to the next level? Here are a few questions to help you get you started:
What are your priorities as a company? Are you hoping to build your online presence, open multiple locations, or offer local delivery? Priorities can shift, but setting clear goals will help you build your roadmap to success.
What makes your audience unique? Knowing more about your audience will help you understand what matters most to them. Basyoni listened to his customers, and that listening led him to offer expanded payment options with Paysafe.
Are your current systems built to serve your goals? Maybe the systems you have in place are enough for today’s operations and today’s customers. But what about next year? And what about the customers you hope to reach by then? Make sure your systems are built to scale with your company’s growth—whatever that looks like.
Setting yourself up for success is all about laying the right groundwork. So when the time comes to put your foot on the gas, you’ll know how to get to where you’re going—and supporters like Paysafe will be there as your partner in growth.
